Makita Introduce 4.0ah Li-Ion Batteries!

Breaking news… Makita are set to release their 4.0ah Li-Ion battery (BL1840). With the likes of Dewalt, Milwaukee and Bosch already having their 4Ah batteries on the market, Makita are the last of the leading manufacturers to join the 4 amp brigade.

No need to panic if you are kitted out with the 3.0ah tools as the new BL1840 is compatible with virtually all of the 3 amp range.
The 3.0ah BL1830 was ground breaking due to its impressive 22 minute charger time and the large range of tools that it worked with. The 4.0ah version is equally as impressive with an amazing 36 minute charge time! Usually the larger the capacity of the battery, the longer it takes to charge. This is certainly the case for competitors, taking over an hour to fully charge.

So it seems there is no contest, the Makita BL1840 offers high quality capacity, will enable you to have less downtime and enables you to get on with those important jobs. Also Makita have a much larger range of compatible tools with the same battery than other brands. Not only that, there is no need to purchase a new charger as your DC18RC will do the job.
