Introducing the Makita RP001G Cordless 1/2" Router

While 1/4" cordless routers have been around for many years, Makita professionals have been eagerly awaiting a powerful cordless option in the 1/2" category.  HiKOKI capitalised on this demand by being the world's first manufacturer to introduce a cordless 1/2" router a few years back alongside Milwaukee.

But now , Makita is at last joining the party with the highly anticipated RP001G, a formidable cordless 1/2" router that expands their already impressive 40Vmax XGT line up.

The new Makita cordless router will be available internationally with a 12mm collet (~1/2″) with 6mm (~1/4″) and 8mm sleeves. It will be powered by the XGT batteries, as you can see below with the 2.5Ah (18V 5Ah equivalent) battery.
