Quiet Please! We’re Reducing Noise at Salamander Pumps

Modern living can be a noisy business, whether it’s mobile ringtones, loud traffic or other people’s choice of music assaulting our ears. We all want to
reduce noise pollution, especially in our homes.

Salamander Pumps recognise that noisy pumps are a big ‘no no’ for householders, and that when installers and consumers are choosing a pump,
noise is very much a deciding factor. So they have invested a lot of time into reducing noise in their range of shower and whole house pumps.
As a company compulsive about providing what customers want, Salamander recently had all their pumps independently tested against competitor products by the UK’s leading acoustic test and calibration specialist, the University of Salford, so you don’t just have to take their word for it.
The good news is that they came out really well, with the majority of the Salamander Pumps range sitting somewhere between the sound of gentle
rainfall and a quiet kettle on the boil.

Salamander’s RP50PT, CT Force 15PT and CT50Xtra shower pumps are all rated some of the quietest in the 1.5bar class; and the RP75PT and the CT 75 Xtra are rated some of the quietest in the 2bar class.

The Salamander CT Force brass range holds noise ratings from as low as 42dBA, which combined with a robust brass impeller and a five-year warranty
make it a very attractive shower pump choice. The CTForce30PT and CT Force 20PT are also rated quieter than the biggest selling brass twin ended shower pumps on the UK market.

In fact, Salamander Pumps slashed our pump noise levels by 15% in the last five years – that’s quite an achievement. As a result of this hard work we are pleased to confirm that CT Xtra, CT Force, the new Right Pump Range and HomeBoost the mains water pump have all achieved the Quiet Mark award, making them some of the quietest pumps in their class.

We can’t promise you that shower pumps will be silent, but we can say is that Salamander Pumps are some of the quietest on the market. And that’s a fact.
