In the early 1800s, Squire supplied locks to the British Army in the Napoleonic Wars. This led them to develop the first lever padlocks. Before long they were supplying locks to companies across the British Empire.

Today they are the world’s most experienced lock maker. Their incredible knowledge and history has been passed down through eight generations to its current owner, John Squire. Today he continues the family tradition of making world-renowned locks.
